| Description | Muriel Read nee Roberts has a strong connection to the Malayan Teachers' Training College, Kirkby as her family befriended many of the students, inviting them to their home and to join in family events. In return, she and her family were invited to many events and celebrations at the College and to later Alumni reunions.
