| Description | The Waterworks Tower was built by St Helens Corporation in 1848, with the pumphouse added in the late 1880s. It was constructed by J & T Yearsley and stood at 110 feet (33.5 metres) in height. Over 1 million bricks were used in its construction. It was demolished in 1966 |
