| Description | The stone laying ceremony at Southdene Methodist Church took place on November 6th, 1954. Pictured is Mr T Dickinson laying Mr Hughes' stone as well as his own. Others laying stones were: Sister Elsie Smith from County Road Church, Miss Hind, who laid Mr Rutledge's stone, Mr Edwards (on behalf of Westvale) and Mrs Annie Harrison, who laid a stone on behalf of her husband John, who was indisposed on the day of the ceremony. Also present were: Rev Gilberthorpe Harrison, Rev T Hall, of Longmoor Lane Church, Rev H H Partridge and Superintendant Minister Rev R E Cubben |
