Description'Brinsford Lodge: The story of a Malayan Teachers' College in England, 1955-1964' by the Brinsford Book Editorial Board, Brinsford Alumni Association, Malaysia recounts the history of Brinsford Lodge, Kirkby College's sister establishment which was situated near Wolverhampton. Similarly to Kirkby, Brinsford Lodge started life in 1941 as an accommodation hostel for armament workers at the Featherstone munitions factory. It officially opened on 31 January 1965, although students began arriving on 7 August 1955. The College closed in 1964. Copyright in this publication has been asserted by the Brinsford Book Editorial Board, Brinsford Alumni Association, Malaysia. The book was presented to Jane Owens tied with decorative ribbons in the colours of the Malaysian flag.
