| Description | Knowsley Archives' Heritage Lottery Fund supported 'The Malayan Connection' community engagement project, which sought to connect former students of the College with the current local community, culminated in an exhibition in the Archive and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at Granborne Chase, Kirkby on 31 August 2017. The event was attended by a group of College Alumni and their supporters, local residents and Knowsley Council officers, elected members and volunteers. The Alumni Association invited the ARK to show the exhibition at its next Reunion: as a result of this invitation, the exhibition was exported to Malaysia where it was unveiled on Saturday 7 April 2018 at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. The Archive Service was represented at the event by Jane Owens, Community Development Co-ordinator and this collection consists of material brought back from the Malaysian event. |
