| Description | This 16 page brochure and souvenir programme was produced by Prescot Urban District Council and outlines the activities, exhibitions, sporting events and performances to be held between June and December 1951, including during the Festival Week, Sunday 15th July - Saturday 21st July 1951. Included is a history of each of the local industries that were open to visitors during the week, including British Insulated Callender's Cables Ltd., James Blundell & Sons Ltd., T. Stephenson & Sons, C. Tinling & Co. Ltd. and the Prescot Clock and Mechanism Co. There is a letter signed by F. Lambert, Clerk of Prescot Urban District Council and addressed to The Secretary, Prescot Homing Society, inserted into the front of the brochure, encouraging the recipient to promote the brochure, which was for sale at a cost of 6d, to Society members. |
