| Description | This booklet, issued by Prescot Cycle Club, is the competitors' programme for the seventh amateur athletic sports event, held under A.A.A. laws and N.C.U. rules. The competition was to be held on the evening of Thursday 17th August 1899 on the Prescot Cricket Field. Prizes, including cash, a gold ring, a silver albert and a handbag amongst other rewards, were to be presented by Dr. Hall. The programme contains many advertisements for local traders and these have been ticked or marked up as 'paid' in pencil. The booklet was printed by F.W. Halsall, 12 Church Street, Prescot. |
