Henry Cross was also Clerk to Prescot Urban District Council and his son, W. A. Cross was similarly involved in civic life, being the last Steward of Prescot Court Leet. The 7 bundles contain various materials relating to Prescot, Knowsley and the Cross family's involvement in the life of the township. The first bundle consists of various items such as share certificates and documents relating to civic and parish duties; the second contains the correspondences of Henry Cross and Son in the capacity of Clerk to Prescot Urban District Council and the remaining bundles consist of a number of photographs. |
