The other folder is dated 1909, is labelled as 'Sewage Farm General,' and includes: details of a claim by Mr. Swinney against the railway, relating to two shafts being delayed in transit; statement of wage payments relating to media contract; income and expenditure statement; private memorandums regarding Huyton Quarry Media Plant and costs; copy of a letter to H.W. Taylor regarding a discrepancy between his estimate of costs for work relating to the Media Plant and the probable cost (16 June 1909) along with a draft of this letter; draft agreement as to carting media between Prescot U.D.C. and Richard Prescott; copy of an invitation to tender for carting cinders from the Iron Works at Huyton Quarry to the Sewage Farm at Carr Lane, along with a memo in response from Richard Prescott (6 February 1909); sewage disposal works, 'Bentley's Account', covering 1908-1909. The loose papers in the bundle include: copy of the Conditions of Contract between Prescot U.D.C. and H.W. Taylor, Civil Engineer, Newcastle-on-Tyne and Birmingham, relating to the Prescot Sewage Disposal Works; and a statement of income and expenditure for the Prescot Sewage Disposal Works covering 1908-1909. |
