DescriptionSmall bundle of papers regarding refuse depots. Bundle comprises: typescript letter from W.A. Cross, Clerk to Prescot U.D.C., to W.A. Woolliscroft, Leigh Estate Offices, Liverpool, informing of the Council's intention to terminate a tenancy agreement for a field let from Leigh Estate Offices, located in Scotch Barn Lane, Whiston, and used as a nightsoil depot; handwritten letter from W.A. Woolliscroft responding to above letter and stating that the tenancy agreement with the Council has specific clauses with regard to giving notice that mean the Council cannot terminate the agreement within the timescale they have suggested; draft, handwritten memorandum quoting sections of the tenancy agreement for the Scotch Barn Lane Nightsoil Depot; further handwritten letter from W.A. Woolliscroft requesting a response to his previous letter; and a typescript letter from W. Kerfoot, Secretary, British Insulated and Helsby Cables Ltd., expressing concern that Prescot U.D.C. have continued using a Refuse Depot after permission to do so has expired.
