| Description | Collection of postcards and greetings cards, many of which are to or from Sally Whittaker and family and friends. A significant number are also unaddressed postcards used as mementoes of places. The series includes cards dating from the First and Second World Wars, along with the inter-war years and post-1945. The inter-war postcards include correspondence with friends living in Germany in the build-up to the Second World War. As well as English, some of the cards from this period are in French and German. |
